Predictably Irrational - Prof Dan Ariely

I am currently reading Prof Dan Ariely's book "Predictably Irrational". Enclosing one of his videos which gives a flavour of the kind of work he has been doing in the area of behavioural finance. The book is a interesting read. This video is from a presentation he made at the TED conference.

Have read this book. A good one that makes light reading. Interesting insights. But the flow and presentation could have been certainly better by focussing on application aspects, instead of presenting the different researches he did and the conclusions from each.

Hi Nandhitha

You are right the flow could have been better but then he is a researcher and not a writer :).

There are some interesting insights and I would say applicable in all aspects of life. I like the part which talks about how we deal with choice in life. Would suggest Barry Schwartz's presentation on " Paradox of Choice" at the TED conference.

Cheers
